The city of Farmington Public Safety requested mutual aid assistance from Farmington Hills last night on a building fire. The building fire occurred at Nankin Hobby shop at 9 Mile and Farmington roads. The first calls came in at around midnight Friday night to the City of Farmington dispatch center reporting flames and smoke in the building. The entire building suffered smoke damage along with the entire back half suffering fire damage. Units that responded to this incident were: Engine 1, Ladder 5, and the Battalion Chief. |

The Fire Department responded to a 2 car injury accident this afternoon on the freeway. One of the patients was pinned inside a vehicle and needed to be extracted from the vehicle. The other patient was ejected from the other vehicle into the ditch. Both of which were transported to the hospital. Units that responded to this incident were: Rescue 1, Rescue 2, Ladder 5, and the Battalion Chief. |

Stations 1 and 5 were dispatched for a injury accident on I-275 just north of 8 mile Tuesday night. First arriving units advised there were multiple injuries on the scene. The Fire Department transported 4 patients to the hospital. Slick road conditions played a factor in the crash. Units that responded to this incident were: Rescue 1, Rescue 2, Medic 5, Ladder 5, Engine 11, and the Battalion Chief. |

The Fire Department received a call for a truck that had rolled over into a ditch on East Bound I-696 West of Orchard Lake this afternoon. First arriving units advised that there was a Ryder rental truck on its side in the ditch and there was fuel leaking from its tank into a nearby creek. No injures were reported at the scene. Units remained on scene to provide traffic control for the tow company for approximately 2 hours. Other personnel remained on scene for another 3 hours cleaning up any fuel that leaked into the creek. Units that responded to this incident were: Rescue 1, Ladder 5, Battalion Chief, and the departments Hazardous Materials Specialist. |

A disabled tanker truck was hit by a car that had spun out tonight at around 7:00pm. The car hit the back end of the truck and created a hole in the tank which caused large amounts of oil to spill onto the freeway. Michigan State Police arrived on scene and shut down the north bound I-275 ramp to east bound I-696 where the incident occurred. Two injures were reported prior to units arriving on scene one of which was taken to the hospital. The oil was contained and cleaned up within 4 hours. Units that responded to this incident were: Rescue 1, Engine 1, Engine 11, Ladder 5, Battalion Chief, and the departments Hazardous Materials Specialist. |
